The Lip Reading Cell Phone of the Future

New technology is always a popular trend, and this latest invention from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology will show you why.

Have you ever sat in a movie theater, and heard someone's cell phone ring, even after the repeated "Please silence your cell phone" messages that are now played before the movie?  To make matters worse,have you ever sat in a movie theater, and after you heard the cell phone ring, the person actually answered it and carried on a conversation right there during the movie?

This is a major pet peeve of mine as I'm sure it is yours, but there may be hope beyond just thinking people will one day have a little respect.

It's a lip reading cell phone that is currently under development that will make "silent communication" possible by you simply moving your lips to the words you would normally speak out loud.

Not a lot of information is being given out as to how it all works yet since it is still in development, and all of the wires connected to a person's lips as shown on the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology website don't make it look very appealing, but all of those wires are simply for demo purposes as the technology is further developed.

This got me thinking back to one of my old time favorite TV shows, the A-Team. The one thing I do remember about the 80's show is that the violence was very mild, and no one was ever killed! This made it a great show for younger viewers who are looking for a hero.

If you're going to send someone a letter, you need to know how to mail it.

This is a quick tutorial on "how to mail an letter" to someone.

First, write a letter.

Second, get a standard size envelope in which to put your letter.

Third, fold your letter and put it in the envelope.

Fourth, add your return address either on the front top left, or on the back of the envelope.  If you don't put your return address on it, and the letter is undeliverable, it won't be returned to you.

Fifth, address the envelope to where it's going.

Sixth, put a stamp (or stamps if it's heavier) on it and place it in your mailbox, putting the flag up, or into a United States Postal Service mail box.

Seventh, wait for a return reply (hopefully you get one).

"President Obama Says We Want Our Money Back"

President Obama says, "We want our money back....and we're gonna get it."

The WE is the American taxpayers. The American taxpayers bailed out companies on Wall Street who are now doing well enough to pay out "massive bonuses" to executives.

A "Financial Crisis Responsibility Fee" is being imposed on these companies until the American people are fully compensated.  I wonder how much that is and for how long?  Guess we will wait and see.

"How Can I Lose Weight Fast Without Exercise?"

A popular trend, especially this time of year, is "weight loss" (or "weight loss diet").

With the holidays behind us, many of us are ready to shed those extra pounds that all of those get togethers, dinners, etc helped to put on.

For those with a "high metabolism", the pounds may be few, but the average weight gain during the last quarter of the year tends to be around 7 to 10 pounds.  Have you dared to step on the scale yet?

With an ocean of weight loss plans available, it is possible to "lose weight without exercise".  This is a trend that many are seeking because just dieting is hard enough without the added pain of exercise.

Although, if you're really looking to "increase your metabolism", adding some muscle building exercise, or interval exercises (go, go faster, slow down, go faster, etc) can speed up the weight loss for most.

"The Late Net Show, starring Blagojevich"

Not a stranger to the spotlight, former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich will be guest hosting the new internet show, "The Late Net Show" at 11pm on February 11th or 18th (sources haven't confirmed which date yet).

The weekly show will also possibly have guest hosts such as Donald Trump, Alec Baldwin,  and Floyd Mayweather in the near future.

With "Blago's Book Club" and round table topics, the pretty much uncensored show is believed to be a future hit.  However, since it is on the internet, the content could prove objectionable to say the least, so beware.

"MagicJack Free Cell Phone Tower"

magicJack has now developed a method of using "femtocells" to basically put a small cell phone tower right in your home.

From there, the call is routed over a broadband internet connection so that no minutes are deducted from the cell phone, and this also means less load on local cell phone towers.  Could this be the "disappearance of cell phone fees"?

The new and improved magicJack device will soon be a hot product and is about the size of a deck of cards. It will reportedly connect to any phone that uses GSM.

"China's Economic Crash"

How's that for a headline of the future? It's all about the "collapse of China".

Will it come to pass? We'll have to wait and see, but the predictor of the Enron scandal will be confidently sharing this headline at the University of Oxford later this month.

Skeptics say this predictor, James S. Chanos, doesn't really know enough about "China's economy" and has only really been doing research since this past summer.

Aggressive bank lending is partly to blame for the creation of artificial demand for the potential "collapse in China", as well as it's stimulus program.

The book "The Coming Collapse of China" (Random House), in 2001 warned of China's possible crash.  Let's see if the prediction comes true.
