Creator of First 50 Star American Flag Passes Away

There are so many things we tend to take for granted as Americans.  Our freedoms, our way of life, and even our flag.

The creator of the First 50 Star American Flag passed away at age 67.  Robert G. Heft is credited with the design that took him over 12 hours on a Singer sewing machine.  It was done as a school project, that later was chosen by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to replace the 48 Star American Flag.

This post is in honor to Mr Heft.
